Cannes: Leonardo DiCaprio, Jodie Foster and Russell Crowe Mingle at Vanity Fair Party

Even moguls suffer from bad reception. Harvey Weinstein was spotted outside the Vanity Fair after-party for the Cannes Film Festival last night just after 11 p.m. “Hello?” Weinstein barked into his cell phone. He was trying to set up a meeting—or possibly haggling over a project. “I can’t hear you,” Weinstein said, pacing back and forth. “Hello? Hello?”

There were far warmer greetings inside the intimate A-list affair hosted by editor Graydon Carter at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, known for its breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. Leonardo DiCaprio held court with BFF Tobey Maguire. Kate Hudson posed for photos with Joel Edgerton; Kendall Jenner hung out with Heidi Klum and Jodie Foster mingled with a merry-looking Russell Crowe. At around 1 a.m., “The Gladiator” star huddled with Fox CEO Jim Gianopulos in the outdoor patio, as the DJ played Prince’s greatest hits.

An hour earlier, Chloe Sevigny was giving out hugs. “Let me say hi to one person,” she told friends, before greeting Cinetic’s John Sloss. Matt Bomer had cocktails with his husband, Simon Halls. Mark Rylance left his “BFG” soiree early at the Carlton Beach to make the 30-minute trek to Antibes. He was mobbed by fans, congratulating him on his role as Roald Dahl’s Big Friendly Giant. Mick Jagger won the award for most laps around the room.
